Jackson Laughlin competed for the KU Mock Trial team from 2013-2017 while pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science and Political Science. During that time he also served two years on the Mock Trial executive board as the Secretary (2014-2015) and Vice-President (2015-2016). As a competitor, Jackson was one of the team's best - winning 2 witness awards and 15 attorney awards over his four years. The most notable of these accomplishments was when he was named an All-American Attorney at the National Championship Tournament in 2016. As an executive board member, Jackson helped the team rise over 200 places in the national Team Power Rankings, led the team to its first two qualifications to the National Championship in 10 years, and directed the first ever Jayhawk Invitational Tournament in 2015.
